Cloud hosting is a web hosting platform which looks, acts and feels exactly like a normal dedicated server but shares the resources used between other clustered physical servers in the cloud.

Instead of using 1 physical server split into chunks, cloud hosting uses multiple servers working together. Furthermore, it’s infinitely scalable simply by adding more physical servers to “The Cloud” building a bigger and bigger cloud.

A Virtual Private Server used to exist on just 1 physical server. Because cloud servers can now work together as 1 server, we can host a VPS on a cloud platform. It’s now a Virtual Private Server that can grow as big as you want without the physical hardware barriers.

Frequently Asked Questions about Cloud Hosting

Am I entering a contract?

No. You are free to cancel your Cloud VPS server at any time, so long as you provide us with 1 clear calendar months notice.

Can I have WHM/cPanel with my VPS?

Yes, however you would need to order a minimum of 3 slices and the WHM Licence addon, which is £10/month.

How quickly can my VPS be ready?

Within 24hrs of receiving your payment for your chosen number of slices. If you require a WHM/cPanel licence, this will also be configured once the VPS is up and running.

Do I get root access to my VPS?

Yes. You can have root access if you would like a standalone VPS that uses its own name servers. Otherwise, no, a managed VPS uses clustered DNS and is managed by us.

Can I move a cPanel site to my Cloud VPS?

If you have ordered 3 Cloud Slices and the WHM addon, we will set it all up for you and transfer any requested sites for you. Just let us know which sites and from where.
